First period of cosmic data taking in 2009 finished on Wednesday September 9th

The first period of cosmic data taking has ended on Wednesday Sept. 9th at 9:00 when both magnets, L3 and dipole, were turned off.

This campaign started on week 34 with no magnetic field and continued on week 35-37 with the full field (L3=0.5T and dipole=0.7T) and low field (L3=0.2T) configurations.

We collected about 140 M events in the central tracking system and more than 300 k event in MuTrk.

Since Sept. 3rd the SPD is out of data taking because of modification of the cooling system.

The next goal is to collect field-off data in the week 37 and after short intervention, week 38, to go back to full filed configuration and be ready for extraction test (Sept. 25-28) and the first beam through ALICE (October 22-24).
